SplinterCell's Final Fantasy VIII Game Review

Final Fantasy VIII is a rush, the new Junctioning system is a very nice feature. Sadly I did not enjoy the 'draw' magic feature and the Guardian Forces. I guess I got too use to material and liked that. But the features of Guardian Forces add to the game play. Leveling up not only yourself but you GF's as well. By doing that you get new junctions to use, new attacks, and etc. By the way, an interesting new thing about GF's is the select feature. Later on the game while pressing select you can increate the damaged done by a GF by pressing select and then when the icon pops up you press square [] as fast as you can.
A nice side feature is the card game. By playing the card game you can get more and more cards which you can morph into items, rare items, ammo, parts, etc.

SplinterCell's Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within Ova Review

Overall experience was alright. The movie was okay. But caution, walk into this moving expecting the worse and you'll get better than what you think. Of course the cheesy love crap was boring and didn't add to the story nor did it anyway help advance anything. The characters are semi-lovable and you can easily identity who's the villain. But you don't really care for the "Spirits Within". They talk about most of them and you only get to see Dr. Aki excavate about 2-3 of them if I remember correctly. But in the end the movie alright to watch but extraordinary if you enjoy 3D flicks that are far away from the kiddy stuff Pixar and Disney dish out. Some may like this movie some may hate it, but respect it for being bold. Definitely shouldn't be called Final Fantasy.

Over all this gave was very impressive for its time and maybe the minimal in standards for today's society but still very enjoyable experience. The game play was awesome, the characters were likable and gave you a feeling for them, the story was intriguing and puzzling at times, and the sound was astounding. Just thinking of this game makes me want to play it right now and bust out an Omnislash. For its time the game was a burst of new for the series. Breaking away from traditional sprites into full 3D. Of course this game isn't for everybody. Action seekers will be bored of the battles after awhile, where as RPG lovers will be hooked for hours just leveling up their character. Challenging side missions just add-on to the game play. Overall a great game in a great series.
